My Sister's Keeper Launch Event

Event Description:

A statewide launch of New York State initiative My Sister's Keeper. Attended by 645 students, statewide officials including senior leadership of the New York State Education department & elected officials. Featuring student performances, a panel discussion and a keynote speaker. Schedule: 7:00am: Staff arrive to set up 8:30am on: Buses (58 expected) start to arrive & are directed to park in Student Lot. Students enter through main gate. Some buses might remain parked, some might leave & return later. 9:00am-9:55am: Breakfast in RBSC 211/2nd floor cafe and Colston Lower Level. Groups have been advised in advance where to go. Max capacity 275 in RBSC, 280 in Colston. 10:00am-12:30pm: Presentation in GML Auditorium. Public Safety at main entrance to enforce no food/drink in the building. 12:30pm on: Lunch in RBSC 211/2nd floor cafe and Colston Lower Level. Approx. 200 to grab & go. 400 to sit and eat Students return to buses and depart. AV - Event will be livestreamed by a group called Technical Video who are requesting ethernet connection (they will bring a long cable), audio feed, 4ft x 4ft space for cameras & a table for equipment. Exact location TBD). Contact is Riley Irving. Their staff will arrive at 7am for setup. They'll also bring lighting. Client is bringing a DJ, Sunny Cheeba, who will bring a Roland DJ 707m controller and needs access to plug into speakers using XLR cables from the master outputs and a power strip/extension cord. External guests expected including VIPs that will require East Lot parking. Please block off 20 spots. List to follow by end of day. TO DO/QUESTIONS 5 boxes of books in Loew 520, need to be brought to GML or RBSC on Friday. Tape off broken chairs in GML Auditorium Move chairs from ADA restroom area Men's room to be used as women's room? Signage required? Balloons to be set up onstage on Thursday evening.
